Emergency First Response
Be Ready to Help. Learn Skills That Could Make a Difference.
About the Emergency First Response Course
Knowing how to respond when someone needs help is a valuable skill, whether you're at home, at work or enjoying an adventure.
The Emergency First Response course gives you the opportunity to learn and practise essential first aid techniques in a friendly, supportive environment. Over six hours, you'll develop your understanding of how to recognise an emergency, assess a situation and provide appropriate care.
The course covers two distinct areas. Primary Care focuses on life-threatening emergencies and immediate care, including CPR and AED training. Secondary Care focuses on injuries and illnesses that are not immediately life-threatening. Together, they help you develop a broader understanding of how to respond when someone needs assistance.
You don't need to be a scuba diver to take part. The skills are useful for everyday life and can benefit anyone who wants to feel more prepared to help others.
